Some soups are not for drinking.
The Forbidden Soup makes botanical bath soaks in small batches. The name is the joke and the warning — it started with the liquefied-mummy "forbidden soup" story, and the blend named after it is genuinely full of red clay, resin, and juniper. None of it is for drinking.
One blend, one job
Most bath products are the same base with a different scent bolted on. Ours are not. Each of the seven blends is built around what you actually want out of that bath — sleeping properly, starting the day, easing off after something hard, the morning after a good night, or drawing one for somebody else. If a blend does not have a job, it does not go in the line.
How it is made
By hand, in batches
Blended, filled, and labelled by hand. Batch size is set by what we can do properly in a session — small enough that every jar gets looked at.
Whole botanicals
Real flowers, leaf, and peel — not dust and dye. It costs more and it steeps better, which is the whole argument.
Traceable
Every finished set resolves back to the raw lots it came from. We keep proper batch records because we intend to still be doing this in ten years.
Packaging that ends well
Compostable steeping bags, recyclable jars, no plastic film for the sake of a shelf. A line requirement, not a marketing line.
The Forbidden Soup is in build-out. Formulations and packaging are being finalised with our suppliers, and the shop opens once they are. Nothing on this site can be purchased today.
